Real Life Fantasy

Ever watched one of those romantic movies where boy meets girl. Boy and girl this that bla bla bla. Lotsa complications. Yaddi daddi da... Skip skip skip. Something happens and boy and girl realize that they are somehow "destined" to be together. And that whatever that happened, the odds are like... 1:1000?! Yeah... That's why they're called MOVIES. BUT!!! just bout 2 weeks ago, i attended the wedding of err... My mom's uncle's daughter's daughter, Lilian, at Westin Hotel, KL. She and her husband had been courting for the past 5years if im not mistaken. And on the 08.09.07, they finally tied the knot. Ill post more about the wedding [cause it was TOTALLY funky!!], but not now. Now, i'd like to share bout how these two people, Lilian and Henry, met, got together, then got married.

Once upon a time approx. 5-6 years or so ago, there was a boy named Henry and a girl named Lilian, who met each other at a party of a common friends'. They clicked pretty well, found out they went to the same church, so on so forth. So, after a while, things got flirty and all, and so, obviously, Henry asked for Lilian's number. And yeah. Typical.

Okay now let's pause there a moment and rewind it a little bit, to the time BEFORE Lilian and Henry met each other. Both of them. They have this funky thing for carousel's [yes... Merry-Go-Round's]. And so, it so happened that a particular shop in Mid Valley, sold this cute lil carousel thingy. Lilian walked past the shop one day and saw it by the window. Seeing her eye it with such interest, the shop owner explained that they only had two of it. So in other words it was pretty rare. Moving on, Henry went to that particular shop one day and saw that particular carousel as well and thought it was cute so he bought it. Sometime weeks later, Lilian went back to the shop and saw the carousel still sitting on the shelf but at that time, there was only one of it left. The shop owner then explained that some dude bought it sometime ago. Oh well... So she bought the second carousel and left the shop.

Now, back to after the party. So... you know you get a girls number at a party and all, duh you call her lar right? Yeah. So, Henry and Lilian start talking on the phone almost everynight and being a shy-ish girl, she got a lil nervous when she spoke on the phone with Henry. So absent-mindedly, she'll start playing with that lil carousel thingy of hers. One night, through the phone, Henry heard the familiar sounds that came from the carousel that Lilian was playing with [he has one also, remember?]. So he asked her, "Are you playing with a merry-go-round? Does it have 4 white horses on it?" Lilian was a lil taken aback cause for one, the shop owner said only 2 of those carousels where being sold and how could he have possibly known when he hasnt even seen it before and she had'nt even talked bout it before. So, a lil surprised, a lil freaked out, she asked him how he knew. And to her surprise, he told he that he had the exact same one!! And so... Bla bla bla... And they lived happily ever after. The End.

... Ok la i admit la. SOME parts i MAY have stretched the story a WEEE bit la. Haha. I AM pretty dramatic. xp But yeah... The main story bout the carousels and all are still true la. Darn cool ok when i heard it. [They told the people who were at the dinner through this video which was projected on these 2huge screens. They used parts from Mr and Mrs Smith but changed the faces to their own and renamed it Mr and Mrs Tan. *blink blink...* And used the scene where the Smiths were at couples counselling, to tell "their story".] Its like, OMG, what are the odds that you and your unknown future husband have the same "fetish" for carousels and SO HAPPEN outta the MILLIONS of people who go to Mid Valley, the 2 of you buy the only 2 funky carousels in the same funky shop??!!!! SO totally freaky yet cool... Makes you really think: Dang! Will be and my future spouse be as "destined" to be together??

So yeah... A true fairytale... [Even though it doesnt sound THAT big a deal or whatever when i say it. But its still darn cool okay?!! =p]
